Short people hammock setup

I totally read that the wrong way!
I am 6', so I rarely have a problem, but my gf is like, 5'6", and often needs a boost with the tree straps. There's a few tricks, but they're more easily explained in person. They have to do with slinging the end of the strap around nice and high to begin with.

Which is my solution. Ever watch a lumberjack climb a tree? they use a strap with one end in each hand and sling the loop around and up the tree. clip and gently pull the hammock end of the strap until biner meets tree. There you are! confused? hard to explain but i bet there's a youtube video. search lumberjack tree climbing or something like.

@ 5'7" I can comfortably hang from trees about 22' apart, (Minimum butt to ground distance: about 12") much farther & I really can't get the straps high enough. So, like a few mentioned above, she should hang from trees closer together than you do. AND, Possibly, get a shorter hammock than the WBBB. She is the "perfect" size for a grand trunk Skeeter Beeter UL, which is about 14" shorter than the WBBB. At my size I'm about 1" - 3" short of being too tall for it, so should fit her just fine, this would allow her to choose trees even closer together AND it is a hammock that is a bit lighter & smaller packing for her smaller frame.

Keep us posted on her progress. I'd hate to see someone go back to the ground, ouch!

FWIW, Ive never pushed my straps up with a stick, I just find tree spacing that's better suited to my lack of stature.
