    Need stealth site off 95

Son and I are traveling from NJ to FL and am looking for a spot to stealth hang off 95 around NC/SC boarder area for the night and safe for the car. Not looking forward to the non stop I did on the way up. Anyone from the area with help/suggestions?
    Thanks,
    NA

I figure you can be stealth because everyone would be distracted by the other stuff there.

95 to 72 South (N Roberts Ave becomes Wilmington Hwy) Lumber River State Park touches 72 at one point, and if you keep heading toward 130(US 74) you can find the main part of the park.

    I just used google maps?

Once again, not a stealth site - Santee State Park. Not quite halfway. $15 a night - call ahead and ask if they have trees on any of the sites.

Santee State Park looks pretty treesy: santee state pk.jpg And it's right on I-95. That could work for you and your son.

Thanks. Looks nice, and almost free, so it fits the budget.

I remember that place as a kid driving from Toronto to Florida almost 40 years ago!! If memeory serves me right, the signs for the place started about 100 miles out and there was a sign every mile to advertise it. Then there were signs once you passed it for another 100 miles (every mile again) trying to get you to turn back. Too funny.

South of the Border.....I thought it was the coolest as a lad. When our family would stay at the beach in SC they would have sticker-poeple go out and put a bumper sticker on your car......my Dad hated that. I loved watching him pulling the sticker off. He only allowed USN stickers on our rides.

    As to a site...good luck.
