What do you guys use to hang a hammock in your garauge (spelling?)/house/carport/etc? I am wanting to find the most non-evasive way to hang my hammock (i.e. landlord friendly). However, I am interested to here how any of you guys do it. Thanks!

Do you have exposed beams in the ceiling of any of those places?

Oh, that's a shame. In my basement (exposed beams) I have a hole drilled through the middle-ish point in two beams (not so big as to weaken them) and some rope rings tied into them. Then I just attach my suspension straps to those rings, and I'm good to go. This is all moot since you don't have the beams exposed, but just wanted to let you know where I was going with that...

well thanks anyway. I might just end up putting some of those huge yellow utility hooks in the studs and plug the holes later.

The hanger formly known as "hammock engineer".
haha, I was afraid of that. Well that begs the next question, what is the cheap way to make a hammock stand?

I built this stand. I made it non-portable and it worked great for a year. It's still going strong at a friend's house. Today's cost is closer to $40. Also, use 4x4s for the vertical posts. Happy hangin!
Trust nobody!
Here are a couple of threads that talk about using hammocks indoors. Be careful. I remember someone doing some damage to an apartment by hanging indoors. You may not get you security deposit back.
