Does anyone have some close up shots I can see? Off hand, which one of Shug's videos has this on it? Tarp rap?

I have a Wilderness Logics OMW that I'm working with.

    Thanks!

    Huge'r

Shugs videos are very informative, and they always make me smile. The video above is my favorite, especially at the 6:30 mark when he mentions he'd need a huge'r pack.

I made a 12 inch loop of shock cord larks head to panel pulles and the tie off 10' of cord to that . You still get the same effect plus less weight and bulk.

I thought I would bump this instead of starting a new thread. Like most people on this post, I have been using about 10' of shock cord for panel pullouts on my OES MacCat Deluxe, per Shug's helpful video. I went on a week long trip earlier this summer and spent a couple of nights in some pretty intense weather. With all of the give that the shock cords have, the wind was blowing my tarp right in on me all night. I ended up bypassing the shock cord tensioners on my corner lines and hoping I wouldn't rip anything, but I didn't have any spare line for the pullouts. Has this happened to you? I am thinking of switching to Glowire for the pullouts, with maybe a 6" shock cord loop to take some, but not all of the tension off the panel pullouts when the wind is really howling. (Also, the black color of the shockcord about took my head off when I walked by and forgot they were there. Glowire may help with that too)

If I were to order a bunch of shock cord that would generally work for all my needs (self tensioners, DIY underquilt, etc. etc.) what diameter shock cord should I be a buyin?
