    Help Finding a Thread

I wish we could mark favorite threads to go back to later.
I always think I can remember enough to do a search, but then time goes by and well here we are.

I have been following the threads re Hangnout's No Zipper Bugnet and Pipsissewa's TED bug net.

I vaguely remember someone posting a similar DIY bug net.
What I remember is the way they eliminated as much sag as possible below the hammock by draping the bugnet over the ridgeline and then marking/pinning the bottom curve while someone laid in the hammock.

    Does anyone remember this thread?
    Thanks

    Pips.....http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=33714
I used the SEARCH Function ....went to Advanced and searched "Threads by User. Get some good results that way.
If I want to save a thread I e-mail it to myself.....copy the url and mail.

Thanks Shug. I do the same email trick, but sometimes you forget.
BTW I have the link to Hangnout and Pipsissewa.
I just cant remember who posted about pinning the underneath while some one was in the hammock and then cutting off the excess for a snug fit.

I think that post may have some other ideas I want to steal.

If I like a thread then I subscribe to it under the "thread tools" button at the top of the first post. You might need to amend your settings in your User CP or you could get loads of emails when someone posts on it...

+1 That's what I do. If it is something I really want to keep accessible I'll just bookmark it in my browser. Or both.

Sorry I can't help you locate that thread though.

I just read through Pipsissewa's TED bug net earlier today and the post you are looking for is from Pipsissewa on page two of that thread. She talks about how she had her husband lay in the hammock while she pinned the bottom to take slack out. I hope this is what you were looking for. Good Luck.

    Mountainreer,

Thank you. That is what I was looking for. I have read the hangnout and Pipsissewa threads several times. I guess I forgot what they said.

Subscribe to the thread, you don't have to receive emails to keep the suscription. Then you have it whenever you need it.

+1 on the subscribing. I have my email notifications turned off. I have about 110 subscribed threads. Once in a while I will go back through and clean out the ones I dont want to follow anymore. Sometimes threads will lie dormant for a long time and then get a lot of activity again. The dutch oven thread is a fine example of this.

    wwk10,

I'm glad that's the one you were looking for and that I had just read through pip's thread about 2 hours before you asked your question. Sometimes coincidences and a handy thing.
