    Anyone hammock on the CT?

Looking to do some of or possibly thru the Colorado Trail and was wondering if a hammock is feasible? I've gotten mixed reviews on my research, but nothing really definitive. Thanks

if it has anything to do colorado then id say cannibal would know best
Dale Gribble: I'm thinking, "new hammock." For me, laying and swaying in a hammock is like a steady morphine drip without the risk of renal failure.

Randy : yea but just remember yer roots and where ya come from....you got Hennessy in yer blood son......

In short, if you plan your days accordingly, you can hammock the CT. There are big stretches above treeline, but nothing that can't be hiked through in a day fairly easily. In fact, I've got three of my hammocks on loan on the CT right now.

    Cataract Ridge

There now is about 32 miles all above timberline from Big Buck Creek in Segment 22 to the Elk Creek drainage that is above timberline.

    WARNING BLASPHEMY:

I carry a NeoAir small 8.7 oz. in my pad pocket to have the option of going to the ground. When the weather is stable it is a treat to sleep above timberline.

    re-route

It is still possible to drop into Pole Creek and back up thru Bear Town, but the re-route has been complete for about two years. The re-route avoids the road walk near the Rio Grande.
