Yeah, braided line is a swine for tangling.
A polyester covered dyneema braid is pretty awesome though-tangles are rare and usually shake out. If they dont, the line is slippery enough to pull straight through the tangle.
I know there are specialist guy lines but the marine stuff really works for me, its not far off perfect, great for ridgelines too. I'm using either 1 or 1.5mm for the guys and 2-3mm for the ridge.

Anyone just use complete shock cord? I have seen the DIY shock cord add on thing, but what about the whole thing?
