Young hangers

Looks like I have two converts to hanging, my son and his friend. Instead of browsing Youtube and looking at dirty pics on the Internet like normal 18-year-olds, they are browsing hammock vendors and the friend is planning to make his own. Might just loan him some fabric. This week 6 of them went on a 3-day float trip, my son took my homegrown camo hammock and tarp. He slept fine, and the tarp got its first real test. Seeing a storm coming, he left the tarp up while they broke the rest of the camp. For an hour 6 big fellows stayed dry under that beast! Knew I built her big for a reason.

Haha, that's great! I'm 18 and I came upon this forum sometime last year. I remember finishing my first hammock last summer, and oftentimes there are adults who admire my sewing, or who think my hammock gear is commercial-made. As a 17 year old at Scout camp I impressed grown men with sons my age or older with my ingenious (thanks to the forums!) hammock/tarp setup. They must've been intrigued because I wasn't sleeping in the canvas tents like the other guys.

I wonder if I'm the youngest on the forums...hmm.
