I just got back from a few days in the woods with my grandchildren & friends with their children.(in tents)
Not the best of weather but the Extra large TW Sargasso tarp with added pull outs kept the rain off & the ground dry. I used the Hammock pitched slightly foot end higher, no sliding down no pain just a good nights sleep. My sleeping bag was held up by the 3rd layer; I was as warm as toast wearing my Extreem Clothing smock a pair of army trousers & arctic tent padded bootees, with feet"up" they tend to get cold, I also use the hammock dry bag stuffed with spare clothing as a knee roll to prevent hyper-flexing my knees.
The woods were full of biting insects, I was bitten to the point of distraction during the day, the TW no see-um mesh top kept all the nasties out whilst I slept; not being very flexible I use a cunning length of para cord fixed to the zips to pull them together.
Last time I used this combo it was in Yorkshire when freezing. I did not need the mesh, turned the hammock upside down after removing the spreaders,
put my oversize cocoon hammock over it used an even more elaborate para cord line to zip & unzip the sleeping bag again slept like a log. Having tried this system in various configurations, I can recommend Tenth Wonder products to anyone
