    nor cal hanging

Hello from nor cal. First off, great site very very informative ive learned alot lurking these past few days. Im not new to hammocks just new to hammock camping. Being a mexican and growing up a mexican oriented house, as long as i can remember we have had a hammock in our backyard and i still have one today(the traditional kind) ive slept in it numerous times on hot summer days when i was younger, how could i forget the mosquito bites LOL. I still dont own a synthetic material hammock but am going to buy a WBBB, Are sythetic hammocks as comfortable as traditional kind?

Welcome to HF. You will find that synthetic hammocks are extremely comfortable.

    Welcome aboard from Florida.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.

    Nor Cal

Welcome. There are a few of us hangers in central, north Ca. Put together a trip and announce it, if you want a get together. I get out once a month, on average, more in the summer. Taking off this Thursday for 4 days of hanging, kayaking , secret swimming holes....can't wait. It'll be the best sleep I have had in a while : )
