Sept 3-6 | Quehanna Trail, PA

I have Saturday Sept 3rd through either Tuesday the 6th or Wednesday the 7th to go on a trip. I have been planning to do SNP from 33/Elkton to the end of the park, but I am starting to toy with the idea of driving up to PA and taking on the Quehanna Trail. I am looking for a more secluded, wild area to spend a few days in. I have no experience up in this area however, and this will be my first extended trip in my hammock setup.

So my question is 2 parts:
    1) Any info/advice/guidance on the Quehanna Trail?
    2) Anyone interested in teaming up for this trip? My regular hiking buddy is busy this weekend (I am sure most are, being Labor day weekend). It would be nice to have some company that is familiar with hammocks and to help navigate and enjoy the experience with.

I am pretty much planning on driving up very early Saturday so that I am on the trail by 9-10am. I would like to be done and driving home by Tuesday night, but I could deal with Wednesday AM as well. The trail is a 75 mile loop, so looking at an average of 18.5 miles per day. I could drive/pickup if its on the way from Northern Virginia. I would need to run a background check and credit report prior to leaving, JK

    Some info about the trail:

    Thanks!

just did a 40 mile loop of the Quehanna and Cross Connector Loops. Mainly the NE & SE Section. Started at Beaver Run Shallow Water Impoundment parking area. This is the only time I have been there. We found campsites although very spread out on the path we took. Here are some links we used to set up our trip. There are probably some out & backs that would be cool and I hope to find them soon as well. I also believe the Keystone Trail Association does trail maintaince so they might be another good source. Another friend vists more regulary and he said he likes the eastern section better than the western section. Hope this gives you a good start. I also just did a trip report in this section that may give you some idea of area as well.
