    i haven't weighed a set but either of them as a pair weigh 4grams. are they clever,...not sure but i'll say yes anyway. you can set it similar if you have one of each. the cross can be on a purrsik and adjusted to fit around the tree. the key can then be used to set your tension similar to to a figure 9. i think both are great designs and each work pretty well.

    my problem is when sitting at a campsite and i've got time to play around with stuff i start thinking of different ways to do things.

    I think they are easier to use than the knotbones. It's easier to apply tension and lock them in. The figure 9 isn't a bad product after getting used to them, but think I like the versatility of these better.
