Bikepacking and Hammock!

I've been getting into bikepacking. Basically extending my mountain bike rides with a camp/bivi out over night. Most of the time this has involved using a tarp and my WBBB along with a few other bits and bobs.

I have started a site to document my adventures and help give others advice.

Hey! Any good sources of info for bikepaking? (And does it constitute only mountain biking, or does mostly road riding count too?) I'd love to get into it, but I don't even have a bike!

I'm gearing up for Saturday night(right after my second shift at 11:30p.m) for an overnight bike packing trip up to Hunters Creek in Wales NY.Oh yeah the hammock set up is gonna be fun in the pitch black but good thing I got the Black Diamond spot headlamp.Last one died on me while setting up a tarp at sun down.Stayed near fire pit all night.Creepy.

Coming from North Vancouver, and having been in the local MTB scene since the early 80's (first gen member of the Secret Trail Society), and having helped build and maintain some of the sickest rides in the world, I had to giggle at that.
