Dale Gribble: I'm thinking, "new hammock." For me, laying and swaying in a hammock is like a steady morphine drip without the risk of renal failure.

Randy : yea but just remember yer roots and where ya come from....you got Hennessy in yer blood son......

@sierrajud, weight is advertised at 8.75oz. As far as price, I think it's comparable especially for what I wanted. I looked at all the others out there but I chose Lawson's because of the shade it provides. I wasn't and still not sure I would like the regular Cuben materials see through properties. When spending this type of cash on a tarp, I want to be sure. I'm just glad there are more than just one to choose from. Choose one that suits you and your needs.

On a side note, I just got back from an 18 mile solo overnighter with the tarp. Before I left I stuffed it inside my tarp skins, which I call goat skins made by are very own Mountiangoat. Anyway, I was using the single line suspension I made and realized I forgot line tensioners. Now, because Cuben material has almost no stretch to it, this did not work well. Luckily I brought along a spare set of whoopies with me. Mosquitos where horrible last night, worst I have ever seen. So I lay in the safety of my WBBB and watch them little blood suckers land all over the netting. Then it hit me, let's flick a couple, the first one made a cracking sound like it exploded when I flicked it. Then after the third one I realized they where hitting the Cuben fiber material. This bit of entertainment went on for a for minutes until I fell asleep.

Oh yeah, no rain last night. So water proof test a no go, other than that the tarp preformed as a tarp should. Just weighing a bit less.

Yea, bummer! I was hoping for the winter tarp with doors but now???? There was interest in it. He said that he was thinking about doing them in batches. Then I don't know what happened.
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.

Looks like I might have to get in touch with 2QZQ or ZPacks for some beaks/doors. Maybe some regular translucent Cuben to let a little light in on the ends.

    reflective

This was definitely the tarp I desired and initially got me $ saving $. Sadly after the presale his final price put the tarp right out of contention for me! I am definitely jealous of the reflective qualities and I hope it serves you well.
