Thanks for sharing I had been thinking about hiking this trail for a while now. Did you guys shuttle yourselves or use Connie Wilson? Connie is listed as offering shuttle service for the LT on the maintaining trail clubs website. I hope to catch-up with you guys at the fall hang to go over some other logistical questions in October as well.
    Peace

We had my wife and wags girlfriend shuttle us, although I did take note to the mention of connie. There is a good parking lot at the end (east end) but not at the beggining on rt 87.

Great vid....I plan on doing this hike quite soon hopefully in August or possibly December. I know two extreme opposite times of year. Hey Finskie how do you think a dog would do on this trail. And Gris when you planning on going?
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

it'd be tough for a dog LRR. is she broken in on the trail pretty well already? i'd be really afraid in summer time that he/she'd get bitten by a rattlesnake.

I was thinking about next year for a hike on the LT, and had not even considered December as an option. I built my own UQ and was thinking about making some more cold weather gear so maybe I could give it a try in December if I can just bend the logistics into shape I still have a goal of finishing the AT in Pa this year, that combined with taking our children on our family vacation in October makes hard to even consider another trip in the month. I don’t want to take the thread off in another direction, so I will just send you a PM with other questions about cold weather hanging and such. It looks like you all had a great time I’m sorry I had to drop out, but time off for as a carpenter for a deck building company is hard to get in the middle of the summer. My wife and I had a great trip to Ricketts Glen the week prior with the same great weather.
    Peace
