Hennessy knot. No, not that one.

Hi all. Can anyone tell me what's the knot that's holding the elastic cord onto the tent body rings? I had to remove mine due to extreme wind-induced knots. Since it's elastic I think a lot of knots will slip, and I can't tell from the other side exactly how it's tied on there.

    Thanks!

I dont know exactly what the knot is but most knots should work, not alot of stress is on the tieouts. and some people dont even use the tie outs. I believe a half hitch would work
Dale Gribble: I'm thinking, "new hammock." For me, laying and swaying in a hammock is like a steady morphine drip without the risk of renal failure.

I think it's just a basic cinch knot, with only 2 wraps. A bowline would work fine.

I think that it is a simple two half hitches knot.

Tom Hennessy shows how to do a fisherman's knot on the shock cord in one of his videos.
