    Getting another hammock question

I have a 1.7 double layer warbonnet blackbird that I really really like. If there is one problem with it, I dont like the wall of fabric on the right side that prevents me from seeing out and I find it a bit confining. Mostly for that reason and partly because I'm just curious, I'm thinking about getting a hennessy hammock. Because I like the lay of the warbonnet I'm looking at something of similar dimensions. The explorer deluxe or explorer ultralight are sticking out to me as potentials. Although I'm curious about the bottom entry I would get the side zipper entry for better compatibility with my uqs. I'm just looking for opinions from others to see if I'm thinking clearly

I have both. I don't think you will find much difference.

If I bought a Hennessy now, I would get bottom entry (cheaper) and then get the 2QZQ mod to have zippers on both sides and sew the bottom shut. I did that with my Hennessy and it is a great improvement.

I've got a Hennessy Deep Jungle, I like it with the zipper, *if* i can't see it's just a quick tug at the fabric to see.

Another pro seems to be the side tieouts don't really need to be used, yeah gives it a bit more sense of room if is but there is no shelf dependant on it (that being said I am sizing up to get a blackbird to save weight).

Both my hammocks "wall up" on the foot/right side (Hennessy Expedition and GT Ultralight). It's part of the diagonal lay. You feet can't see out the left side either I guess you could hand a mirror on your ridge line.

A bridge hammock would let you see out both sides without shifting around.

Look at the Hennessy video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diLG4...layer_embedded about 2:20 minutes--- you will see Tom Hennessy in his hammock and the right side blocking his view.

    Roadtorque,

Many of the wider hammocks block your view, depending on how you're laying in the hammock. I know what you mean about the WBBBs. My ENOs do the same thing too, but not as much as the WBBBs. I have a single wide hammock that hardly blocks at all, but it doesn't have a bug net. I've heard that the Switchback has better peripheral viewing, but I won't know for a couple of weeks.
