A strong possibility on my end. Mentioned it to the Mrs and she didn't throw anything at me. Brought it up again and how much fun it would be if she could join me - she said it sounded like a possibility if she could use a tent. Round three was suggesting our 12 year old daughter join her in the tent - what a great idea she thought. At the moment it all hinges upon a 12 year old.

wisenber gave me a heads up on the natural water slide - my daughter said that was cool. Get my in-laws to take the 6 year old and the pooch for the week-end and I'm home free.

Never slept in a hammock, but just got an ENO Double Nest, and have fond memories of Picklesimer Fields / John Rock etc.. so figure this would be the perfect start for a hammocking life. See you in a couple of weeks!

This was a great trip last time I went. I am trying to figure out if I can make it this year. My 7 yr old daughter is joining the hanging ranks. This would be a great first trip for her.

If you google Running Feather's coordinates and look at he streams running through there, you'll note that Davidson River is one of the top 100 trout streams in the country. It is catch and release. There are a couple of feeders that afford "release to grease"..

I'll be bringing my Tenkara rods and picking up an NC license if I make it.

Know about the davidson, but like hitting a little less crowded water. Like I say if I can make it then I will pack the rod and hit some blue lines! Let us know how you did if I can't make it.
