    Wow

I finally got a chance to test out my HH Hyperlite with mod #2. All I can say is WOW!

The work is incredible and this will make the hammock much more enjoyable. I'll probably not use the bottom entrance now that I can get in from the side. Also being able to adjust and check the underquilt while lying in the hammock is great.

I’m looking forward to taking this hammock on the AT with me in March.

    Thanks 2Q & ZQ!

Got to try mine with Mod #3 this weekend. Great job
2Questions. Sure was easy to get in and out for those nightly visits to a tree. More importantly, I could adjust all the interior stuff without climbing inside. Double WOW! Best decision I have made in a while.

Ok, I have now tested my #2 Mod twice. I am now ready to give some opinions on the mod.

1: Craftsmanship: Let me say that the craftsmanship is amazing. Most of my camping buddies assumed it was part of the original design of my hammock. The zippers are smooth and strong.

2: Usefulness: This change has completely effected my hammock experience. Arranging my hammock before getting in is a joy now. I organize everything before getting in, including my sleeping bag. I use a Big Agnus bag with the built in pad, and the mod lets me get in and keep the pad under me with no issues. Let me add here that this system with my JRB underquilt let me sleep down to 18 degrees with great comfort.

3: Gear Ease: With the mod I have the ability to reach outside my hammock and get gear from my gear hammock. This small change has made my camping experience incredible. Before I would have to get out of the hammock to get anything, but now a little zipper and reach into all my gear for that extra layer or to grab my water bottle.

4: Bottom Entrance: I had the bottom entrance sealed up as part of my mod. I HIGHLY recommend this. I cannot think of a single reason I would use it after the mod and by doing this I remove the possibility of opening it to a draft by mistake.

In summary let me say this simple mod has been a wonder. At one point I considered getting a new hammock for many of the reasons I have listed in this review that my HH just didn't measure up. Let me say that with this mod my HH has gotten a whole new lease on life.

The numbers indicate the Mod #2 is most popular with Mod #3 close behind. I suppose there are various reasons for each Mods success. Such as: if you desire a hammock that can be fully open when netting is unzipped and wish to make a toploader of the HH....Mod 2, if you like the Claytor netting zip configuration and make it a toploader as well....Mod #3, if you like the HH entry method, don't want a toploader and don't need a fully open hammock...Mod #1.
