2Q, do you mind my asking what type zipper you're using, and where I could buy it. I was thinking of doing this on my HH UL Explorer. I don't know much about the different type/brand of zippers and everyone seems to like what you're doing so I figure what ever type zipper you're using must be pretty good.

It's no secret. It's simply a #5 coil zipper. Ready available in precut lengths or in a roll. Check out Questoutfitters.com.

A few photos of the zippers on an Explorer

I finally made the opportunity to take a few pictures showing the great workmanship on the zipper mod:

Here is detail of the zipper at the tie-out:

And, here is detail of the two zipper pulls at the head end:

Both of the photos above show the quality of work.

This shot shows the left side fully unzipped and tied back for ease of entry: It was hard to get a decent photo since the wind was 20-25 MPH at the time!

Also, although they aren't very visible, the hammock was hanging between two Bois D'Arc trees that are about 3 feet in diameter!

As I stated previously, the work is first class and I'm extremely pleased with the mod.

Not sure why not. They are linked from my smugmug account. Here are the direct links:

If the links don't work, let me know and I'll troubleshoot.

I can't see them. It says page not found. Do you need a password to get into your gallery?

I looked at your original thread and everything seems to be formatted properly with the [IMG][/IMG] code. As NCP said, it may be a password issue.
