I've been hanging indoors off and on for a while now. During the blazing hot weather that we've been having lately it is a godsend!

Have been full time for over a year now. Originally in the basement using a gathered end hammock and then moved upstairs with a more respectable Brazilian.

Here's a post on my setup.

I have been looking into putting one up in my trailer, but do to the
small joist have not. Will be making a stand, also need to get me feather bed out.
I have mayan, brazilian, and a old navy one that is almost like the brazilian.
It is made of canvas has a small mattres on it, it is way to heavy to take
    backpacking but is realy comfortable.

filman,I've been thinking about how I'll hang a hammock in my Fifth Wheel. Did a little time in an RV dealership after retirement, in it for the discounts. One method I saw used was a stainless steel plate siliconed & screwed to the outside as a backer. Most RV's have a 2x4 or 2x6 header at the roof line.

I've been hangin' out on the deck year round for the past 3 yrs. Everyone that comes over just looks in amazement and I usually get a response something like, "You SLEEP out here ALL THE TIME?!, what do you do in the winter?" (DUH!!!!!!) Same thing I do in the summer just with more insulation!

I was for over 2 years but inherited a house that I'm splitting time in to give it the 'some one lives here look' and am still studying how I'm going to hang there. It's a bit more upscale than my shack and don't think I want to go the plate route I did at my house but the attic is fully accessible which will help a lot....but another challenge is that this house was built when they had ceiling heat (crazy crazy I know)......so one challenge begats another.
