Thumbs up Greetings from Southern Indiana

Been a lurker on this forum for a couple of years, and finally decided to register. But have been a backpacker for ages and couple of years ago, do to age, downsized to UL camping and backpacking, and you guys finally convinced me to hammock packing, so last week decided to buy a Skeeter Beeter Pro, and after 2 weeks jumping to a Warbonnet and giving this one to my wife. I have all the Matcat tarps, different temp quilts, alcohol stoves, you name it as a gear freak..I have immensely enjoyed reading all the posts for the past couple of years, and enjoyed learning everything that everybody has shared for info, and will contribute and ask questions everynow and then. Right now,,have the hammock outside and been testing my various equipment with it, and everything rocks. Can't wait to hit the trails in the next few weeks with a setup that is definitely a pound or 2 lighter than ground sleeping even with the best of UL ground equipment I possess. Keep up the great posts everybody!

    welcome to the madness.

testing your gear is good as it lets you know how everything works under controled conditions.

Welcome fellow Hoosier from up in east central Indiana, Muncie. Just down your neck of the woods hiking the Knobstone Trail. What a wonderful trail but it kicked my butt!
Couldn't wait to set up my Hennessy at the end of hiking each day, funny thing about hammocks, don't ever recall looking forward to setting up my tent after a hard days hike but so looked forward to my hammock
