SNAP!! Just saw this thread. Must check calendar to see what is going on where and when. I may have Fire Dept. training that weekend. Don't know yet. I may have to see about dropping by to say hi if nothing else.

Alright so the cove lake web site says it closes it's "gates" from 10pm to 6am? is this correct? I have never been to a camp site with gates. I'm bringing 4 from Joplin, mo and we probably won't make it there till close to 11pm. any ideas for those of you that have been there before?
If there is a camp host, Smokehouse may know, we'll advise we have people coming in late, feel sure it can be worked out. Anyway if you've pm'ed ur number to OG we can let u know if a problem. look forward to meeting you, jim
Sometimes when they say the gates close at a certain time, there is a code you can get to open it up for those coming in real late. Or the 'closed gate' really means that the attendant isn't at the guard house and you can go on in but you have to pay up the next day or something.

They don't actually close the gates. The attendant is done for the day. come in, setup, pay next day...

I just finished my diy tarp wanted to get it done before this weekend, which only gave me a week to make it since i had to do the sil coating last weekend. Can't wait to get some feed back on it. I will bring a blue wally world tarp for my friend.
I will bring the smokehouse if anyone is lacking a tarp... Its cooling down... this weekend will be in the low 80s for highs and low 60s for lows on top of Mt... going to be a great weekend...
