Mid Aug. sounds good. Here's some group sites around BigBear to check out.

Tortoise never for a moment stopped, but went on with a slow but steady pace straight to the end of the course.

I might be up for this.
Well let's schedule this thing!
Trigrhpy, you last recommended Holcomb Valley. I contacted them and learned that it is a first come, first serve campground (No reservations.) If you think it would not be a problem for a group of us to just show up on a weekend, let's plan on that.
I propose August 20th for the mini-hang!
I can bring a cooler with meat, cheese, tomato and lettuce and buns for around ten burgers or so. Anyone got a grill?
I have a grill that I could bring. I've camped at Holcomb back in 2008 but do you have any gps coordinates for the specific site?
I'm good for aug. 20. I could get out there in the early am to snag a couple of spots. •Fee : $16 per day – 2nd Vehicle $5.00 per day. Bring water.
I'm good for some dutch oven chili a corn bread. http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=34.30...z=15&t=h&hl=en

Great. I sent a couple of private messages, but we should probably send others. So far it looks like three of us plus our guests (I am taking my nephew, so we're at four.)
Last time I was @ Holcomb I was able to drive my 2wd SUV to the camp...anyone know of the current road conditions up there?
