OMG, I'll have to think a little to top that one! However a Desert Reprobate, a Curmudgeon, and a Trailryder42 all working together might just possibly be barely able to keep a TZQ under control.

Hi DR, Yes we have openings.
The weekend car camping hang has a limit of 24 right now (3 camp sites reserved 8 peeps per) If we get more peeps confirming they will come we will reserve another site.

The back country hang/dayhikes/flyfishing, etc. at Left Hand Res in the Roosevelt Nat Forest Sunday thru Tuesday or Wed there is no limit on the number of hangers.

The wilderness North Loop hike (26 miles over 4 day 3 nights Sun thru Wed) does have a limit of 7 peeps do to the wilderness permits that have to be obtained so
a very strong commitment is required to join that hike.

HTH and hope you will join us. Feel free to PM me or post any questions you might have here.

Ok, ok, you got me. I "did" just spring for one of those Platypus Gravity Works water filter kits. To possibly replace my Katadyn pump.

I got one of those "magic" SteriPens to hopefully replace my Katydyn pump. What do you guys think of that option for lighter weight? Like TR42, I'm looking for a little lighter weight. With the extremely heavy people pressure this area receives, I'm a little more leary of the water quality than I normally would be in our mountains.

    friends?

If this is the way you treat your friends how do you treat people you do not like?

Hey, just ordered a cuben tarp so I can hang with the kool kids this summer.

I researched reports and reviews on both the Steripen and the gravity systems. I came away with the concensus that the Steripen is ok for a back up system, but it's susceptibility of taking a crap on you doesn't make it a good primary water treatment/filter system.

The people that have posted those reports and had that experience with the Steripen may be relatively small, but it's just my luck I'd be one of them.

I've been using a filter as primary and chlorine drops as back up.
