You could order one like this, but it would cost more (more work, more thought, more time ).

As far as the weight goes, I would say around a pound. I need to seal it while it is up, and then I will weigh it. I just got back from my weekly dominoe game with some men in our church (they are 88, 83, and 82), it is really sad when I loose . Now that I am back home I can fiddle with it a little more, and take better pictures.

Ok I finally wieghed it this afternoon. It weighs 21.6oz (1lb 5.6oz), this is with seam sealing (which I do every seam, even the hems ), the guy lines, and the stuff sack. Here are some more pics

    Thanks,

    looks great!

if i were going to add tie outs, i would suggest putting them about half way down the tarp w/ aprox equal distances between tarp end/tie out/tie out/tarp end.
also i have decided that on my next tarp i will simply add another seam from end to end on both sides, about half way down. then i will add tie outs to that.
part of the reason being because it can be a pain to locate the right spots & sew tie outs onto a tarp. sewing round reinforcement patches seams harder than sewing square to me because of turning the whole tarp in a complete circle.
then there's sometimes a concern about the stitches around the reinforcement patch.

by adding another seam, you will add a small amount of weight (or just lose a couple inches of width), but you will end up w/ near bomb proof pull outs.
those pull outs also serve extremely well as additional tie outs (as extra guy lines) in high wind as well.

BTW... i love the extra room that my tie outs give by spreading the tarp out wide.
i plan to have them on any tarp i make now.
I too will something make and joy in it's making
