    Pictures please of hammock/uq/oq/tarp

New member here. I am a backpacker and I am considering going from a tent setup to a hammock. I am trying to figure out how much space the full hammock setup will tale in my pack compared to the tent/sleeping bag/sleeping pad setup. Could someone please post a picture of a hammock/uq/oq/tarp packed and ready to go for camping. I assume that I'll safe a little space and weight.

For me its been less spsace. I started about 4 lb. for the hammock. but I'm under 3 lbs now. There is a learning curve that you will have to deal with. Type of insulation, pad or under quilt. If you you speng one night in the hammock you will never want to sleep in a tent again. I have converted 6 people by letting them use my hammock set up.

Saving weight and space depends upon what you are currently using. My current hang system can't compete with my Contrail tarptent system. So why do I do it? It's just too much fun.

I have a diy HH clone a la Headchange4U with whoopies, tree straps, toggles, a 10ish x 11ish diy hex tarp out of PU ripstop and all the ridgeline and guyline what not in the bag. The measurements of the bag are 14x8x5ish and weighs 4.25lbs. That's heavy for most people on here. My tarp alone weighs 2.1lbs. I'm not an ultralighter by no means, but this weighs less than the tent I have and I've been able to get my pack weight with water and food down to about 35lbs. Hope this helps

I'm currently uploading video of my summer gear which includes packing out my gear. I'll post when I'm done late tonight.
