What do I do with reflectix

I was at a church rummage sale this weekend and they had a big piece of reflectix (or some brand X knockoff) for a quarter. So I bought it thinking it'll be good for some DIY projects.
Other than a cup insulator - what can I make out of this stuff?
How would it work to put a layer between the UQ and the hammock? Sort of like a heavy duty space blanket quilt.
Thanks for your ideas and suggestions.

    Hi Tim,
Some people have used reflectix just like they would an CCF pad in a hammock. Some have even used the windshield ones sold at Walmart. I'm not saying that it is as comfy as an underquilt, but I'll bet it's better than having CBS

I would have picked that up too at that price. I'm sure you'll find something to do with it.
I just thought of an idea! Make hot pads with it so you can sit your bowl of steaming gumbo down without burning the table

Double up, tape edges (~12x12inch-ish) -- makes a great butt pad for sitting that can double as insulation under the feet once in the hammock.

Timberrr, it would probably help some. During last springs Richloam hike I used a piece of insulfleece from Hancock's between my pluq and hammock and was warm to 32F. In our neck of the woods it doesn't take much to stay warm.

+1 on this (obviously koozies are a great DIY as well).

I actually tried sewing some reflectix last night and it worked!! I don't have a thread injector other than the ones I was born with, but the thread seems to be holding the material together well. I took two small chunks and sewed them together and they held quite a bit of pull. I'm thinking of making a custom sleeping pad out of the material now. Just and idea...

I have a foot pad that reflectix.... It is slid between the layers of my DL 1.1 for my legs and feet. Works great.

As far as a full-sized pad, there are differing opinions: Some say down into the high 30's, others into the 40's or higher.... It doesn't breathe, so how much you sweat makes a huge difference. The Hennessey deep jungle hammock comes with a reflectix pad...
