Am in in need of 1.1 oz syl nyl pretty fast. Only need a couple yards and Noah Lamport sells ten yards minimum. Anyone know of a retailer in the minneapolis area that carries it?

Buy 10 yards. You'll either find a use for the rest or can pass it along at cost + shipping on the forum.
DIY has a pretty good price on 2nds with a couple of choices for colors. Ordered mine yesterday.
The op was looking for sil nylon.
From what I gather from the diy site is ripstop (plain, uncoated) is $3.20 a yard.
2nd's sil niylon is $5.50/yard. 1st quality silnylon is $8.75.
There is a difference folks between silnylon and regular ripstop. 'Specially in tarp town.
