A friend of mine, a runner, trained really really hard for a race that was held just after he turned 50. That age puts you into a different competition category and he figured being younger than almost everyone else he had his best shot at winning in that category.
He had a great race, and set a personal record that he's not touched since. But he didn't keep up the training. Got old, slow and heavy.
It's
hard work working out, shedding pounds, fighting a slowing metabolism. Rather than pump iron, I try to log long miles jogging. Regardless of the sensitivities of putting photos suitable for "Older Men's Health" magazines on line, neo is to be commended for his success in his chosen workout regime.
and I, for one, aren't about to punch my fore-finger in his solar plexus!
