A 10' square tarp should provide sufficient coverage for a hammock. However, the pictures don't really show the placement of the tie-outs. I imagine there will be tie-outs at each corner, which would give you the option of pitching in diamond mode. In order to pitch the tarp in the more common A-frame style, you'll need to have tie-outs at the midpoints of opposing edges. With 16 "perimeter" and 3 "ridge line" tie outs, it does sound promising...

Should work fine. It has lots of tie-outs and is big enough for a bunch if different ground setups. It is big enough for a hammock tarp if used in a diamond. For an A-frame on a hammock, most folk like a 12'x10' tarp. On a hammock you need to cover roughly 9' long plus a few more feet. A 10x10 tarp should give a 14 foot hypotenuse if I remember my geometry, so the ends would overlap most hammocks 2-1/2 feet on each end.
For ground camping, you can get away with 8' coverage, so a 10' tarp is nice and with a 10x10 you can sleep a little on the diagonal on the ground, getting more protection for head and feet. You can do all kinds of modified lean-to pitches with the center pull-outs.
The only drawback to that tarp is that it is polyurethane coated and so it is heavier than a silnylon tarp. Then again, it will take more abuse. You should always have a good tough tarp in your gear locker.
Heavy, but looks like a durable tarp.
So, I'll want to use it in a diamond configuration as is?
For a noob, what's the suggested size to start with and not have to break the bank?
You don't necessarily need the diamond Storm, it is an option. Test hang in the backyard or nearby park for a good fit.
Must hammocks (your ENO included) will fit nicely under the 10x10 tarp.
If you try the 14' diamond suggested, keep in mind your hammock suspension angles may interfer with the tarp. 14' is long for a hammock and you may need to lift the tarp high to clear the hammock ropes/webbing.

Stormstaff - Gargoyle is right about the suspension. But that tarp will work in the diamond configuration especially if you turn the diamond a little, i.e. head end on the left side of the tree and foot end on the right side of the tree. It will give you pleny of covergae. One modification that woud help you is to sew tie out loops in the exact center of two opposite sides. Then you'll be able to hang it as a plain rectangular tarp with 5' sides.
