Question Basic question on body position

    Hello All -

I'm brand new to the hanging scene. I ordered a Hennessy HyperLite which just came in the mail today. After setting it up this evening it seems very comfortable as I almost fell asleep a couple times. I'm wondering if it matters which direction I should lay in relation to the ridge line. Should my feet be on the right or left of the opening?

It is interesting how the comfort changes based on your body position in the hammock.

Thanks for all the good advice on the site as I get started sleeping comfortably in the great outdoors!

    Cheers – Bill

Because of where the tie outs are, you want your feet to the right and your head to the left of the ridgeline.

Feet right, head left -- it's made to work that way. Sit down in opening, lift feet into hammock, rotate slightly clockwise as you lay down. It's hard to miss the sweet spot in a Hennessey Asym.

    Thanks

After laying the hammock out on the ground I can see how the tie outs are positioned. When I had it hung it up I thought the tie outs were in the middle. Thanks for the help! Now off to get a MacCat Std Tarp and SPE. Can't wait to try it out in the wild.
