Pesky Interloper
So about a week ago my wife and I come home to find my 18 year old son lounging in MY hammock when asked why he would commit such a heinous crime against hammocking he said, "I just laid in it for a second and kind of just sucked me in and I fell asleep."
Today I went home from work for lunch and he had the audacity to say he was going to go lay in "HIS" hammock whilst giving me a sheepish grin. I told him he needed to buy his own and then he questioned the point wondering why he needed to spend his money when he could use mine. Only one problem lunch time in the hammock is my time. This has to stop!!!!!!

Spray him with the garden hose. Works for animals, reckon it would be a rude way to wake up!

Just tell him he is more than welcome if he does not mind that you made recent mad passionate love to his mom in it. Works everytime...

I like the way you guys think.
The hose is right there and the hammock needs a cleaning anyway.

Simply take the hammock with you... everywhere... all the time! So then he wastes some time looking for it. Then asks you where your hammock is! Then tell him you will sell it to him at a discount... then buy yourself a new one
Happy Hangin'

P.S. I like the garden hose idea a lot.

The following is based on the premise that you have another spot to hang a second hammock in your yard.
You could also view this as a bonding opportunity with your son. Nothing wrong with getting yourself a reading made hiking/camping/hammocking buddy.

Give him a sewing machine and tell him you can hang in the hammock if you can make yourself one. Good luck Grandma and Mom have been informed not to help you.

Back in my day kids would "borrow" the stationwagon but that behaviour is incorrigible.

I am not sure I wouldn't just let him have the hammock....I mean after all, if he isn't intimidated by the " online handle" of Meathook, he must be one tough kid!!!!!
