    question about sew-thru

I like the look of the quilt and my only question is do you think you might have cold spots where the stitch goes through? I'm hoping not because I might make one like this for my main quilt. like the way you do the foot area with the buttons. Thanks for sharing this.

i've got a sewn through from HG and i'd have to say it's a warm quilt for summer. i'm not sure i'd do a sewn through for a 3 season.

You will get cold spots with a sewn through. I would feel fine taking this down to 45 maybe 40degrees. But after that, it's baffle time. The 3 season I have made had 2" baffles.

    800 down fill and momentum90

Sorry about the double post but how does the momentum90 compare to 1.1 nylon as to weight and durability, and where did you get your 800 fill down.

I usually get my down either from Hammock Gear or Wilderness Logics. But I actually bought this down from one of the other MI members that got some from Downlite. The M90 is really nice. Has a much softer feel than your standard 1.1 and it really was easy to work with. I don't have any doubts about it's durability.

Downlight has since jacked their prices. It's cheaper going through Hammock Gear at this point.
