    Just another seattle -ite

    Greetings HF

I've been lurking for a year or so and have learned much about hanging in that time. Thank you all VERY much. Special thanks to Shug for the humor and the Hammock Professor for the knowledge.

I found HF after I bought an ENO double (love it) and the ENO slap straps (hate them) and needed to learn how to use them

My background is a bit different from the norm around here. I'm more into the equestrian side of outdoor activities. I've never understood why horse campers are stuck in the 1870's with canvas wall tents and the like, and have been experimenting with light weight horse camping.

Again thank you for a great forum for learning!

Welcome aboard from Florida. I'll bet the horse would appreciate lightening the load.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.

I'm in Wedgwood (that's a Seattle 'hood). Wavin' atcha!

How do you get the horses to stand still? Do you leave the saddles on and hang from the horns?

    How light are your horses?

I'm sure the canvas is a nostalgia thing. They would be riding ATV's otherwise.
