    My first DIY clothing

I made some shorts. DWR 1.1 nylon ripstop. For swim trunks, although now that I have been wearing the, not too bad sweat wise. Gargoyle, if you read this, I apologize for not getting it together and learning to post pix correctly. My only excuse is too much work, and GF time.

So... some shots of the seams, sewn inside out, overcast. The groin has a couple good bartacks at the "critical juncture" widest zigzag, shortest stitch length.

I need to add belt loops, and some MOLLE webbing so I can attach a dive knife. The webbing will run on the outside right leg. There are no pockets. Pattern from a seam ripped pair of dickies work pants.

I wrestled that lunging dog. He won.

Job well done, and looks good! Now maybe stitch up a webbing muzzle for that toothy pup? Or is he just excited about your new camo togs: "Grrr....Quit playing with that thread injector and take me hiking NOW!!!"

As a side note... I put on the loops, and when to play in the sprinkler. When you become fully wet, and the material is wet on the inside, things that should remain hidden rise into full (if murky) view.

I should have added a liner. I won't be wearing these to the water park.

But you made them out of camo.... :P

Looks great! Awesome for a patten made from some seam ripped pants.

I can't imagine them being very breezy though.
