    Time to try it...

Ok, I have whoopie slings on my Blackbird and my ENO and love em. I'm getting into the DIY stuff and I'd love to try and make some myself. What i'm looking for is where can I get the amsteel, and what do I need to get to make the slings. I have a crazy busy week at work this week so I don't have a lot of time to search the forums so if you guys could help me out I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Go here. use the discount code! Then you need either floral wire or guitar string..or anyother long, thin wire to pull the buries through...alternately you can use a large knitting needle, they work, just a little more finiky. Once you get your stuff, I will guide you through it if you have questions...it really is pretty simple to do, and once you know how to splice it is hard to stop!!

The whoops I ordered from Arrowhead are considered a 6 ft length. How much amsteel is needed to make one so I have a baseline to work with?

You are going to be able to make lots of stuff with that! If you have extra...maybe I will get some from you for my "educational services" teaching you to make the whoopies or I can purchase some for myself...

After the whoopies it will be time for some soft shackles or nacrobiners...I can show you those as well...oh splicing and knots are fun!
