Thats great Bloomgorge! I think I will be hitting you up for a set up of Elephant Trunks in the near future!
Just ordered a couple pairs each of the straps and elephant trunks from Patrick. I give the Service an A+. Even though it's hot as a firecracker here, I'll be trying it all out as soon as I get them.
solid products and a solid seand up guy!
best of luck to you and yours bloomgorge
thats stand up guy
One set of Elephant Trunks ordered
Two keys and two crosses on the way if for no other reason than to support the stand up guy and inovation. Plus they'd make great charms on a necklass.
the elephant trunk + whoopie sling looks like a really nice setup. it may give me enough UMMPH to finally try out some whoopies...
I can appreciate the elephant trunk and will probably buy a couple. But I just don't understand the other two products. Seems to me that is i more complicated then a Nite-Ize Figure 9. Aside from supporting a member, what's the benefit here?
the crosses, i don't think i'd say they are in the same class. you can use these as tarp lines, ridge line hooks, tarp line hooks for hanging things, quick release on WBBB's and i've been toying around with using them as a removable ridgeline hook but i'm still testing to see what the actual load is on a ridge line. at current design the crosses break just over 200lb load.
it's really want the end user wants and works for them. a lot of people like to get the latest and have options. i like the keys because i dislike having to create a large loop then pull the rest through to adjust the f9's.
i hope this answered your question. if you're on the fence, i'll send you a set to try out and if you like them you can buy them, if not just send them back.
