    Opal Creek Hang

Gary_R, Weird1, and I met up in Opal Creek for a hang. Gary and Weird1 went out early and found a great site and collected firewood! So, I had it easy and met them at the camp.

I filmed some video, but the footage was not very good. So, here is are a few photos and a few comments. First, the tarp of choice was the WB Superfly as all three of us used one of these tarps, all in porch mode. Gary had a WBBB 1.1 Double that was won as a raffle prize at the 1st Annual Oregon Hang. Weird1 had the WBBB 1.7 Double, and I took a little test hang in it; I must say that I think one of these is in my future.

    Nice Camp Fire

My set up at night, Superfly in Porch Mode with reflecting NiteIze cord for doors

Gary brought this Sawyer Gravity Filter and it was a camp favorite. Nice bit it kit....

My set up in the morning, DIY Top Entry Bug Net, DIY 3/4 UQ, DIY Sleeping Bag mod TQ, ENO Double. I was VERY comfortable.

I was using a little Olympus point and shoot, I am not sure of the model, but it is blue and claims to be waterproof to 10 feet (cost about $110).

Weird1 had a really nice looking Nikon of some sort and took a load of photos. Maybe he will post a few?

    * As for the big size of the images, I am not sure why this is the case. I will try and export the future photos with a limit of file size.
