Cheap ready made tree huggers

For anyone that hasn't seen these before. Harbor Freight has a 1 Ton Web Sling and it is on sale this week. They aren't exactly stealthy, but for the price I think they just might be worth looking into.

this combined with a whoopie sling and such should be fine for the eno doublenest right?

and i only need to get one pair for the hammock itself right? im still trying to figure out what goes in where and how..... rawr ....must..own..hammock

Go to the video area of this site, search for Shug, watch the Hammocks for Noobs part 1 - 11. He does an excellent and entertaining job of explaining all of this stuff.

Yikes! 1.16 lbs for tree straps! I know it states that is the shipping weight but sheesh it's probably not much less than that without the package.

I hate to burst everyones bubble, but at 6.5', one sling is not going to be long enough to cut into 20 tree straps. So if you look at the cost of that, it is cheaper to just buy webbing and sew yourself.

but for the DIY starter. this is a great deal. it can be used in the future for many things. i like harbor freight. i say go for it. (some of us don't sew

)
