Oh yeah! Sorry about that.
That brings us up to 11 hangers and just waiting to hear from Amand which I'm sure he'll let us know if he's going once he gets his schedule.

Yea I am still not sure where I will be yet so I am still a maybe but really hoping it works out. Unfortunately I probably won't know for sure until a week before the trip.
This sounds good to me.Originally Posted by Fronkey

We could do the walk in to Caribou river mutli group and then walk back out to Two island river. If we did that we could also do a potluck on the last night and then it's just a short walk to the cars which are parked less than a mile away to grab some food. It would help with not having to shuttle as well.
It's really up to the group though. When I get done with work I'll try an crunch some numbers and figure some stuff out.

Can someone please summarize any group shared food arrangements that have been made. (BBQ spaghetti, venison, etc)
oh, and I eat Deers
Thinking over my diet for the trip, and wondering how much to bring.
Also, if we are doing some kind of potluck, that sounds great. We just need to get a tally of who's bringing what.
Thanks guys.
I was going to bring some Venison sausage and jerky regardless of a potluck because I figure most people like venison and it would be fun to eat out in the woods.
I wish I had enough venison brats for everyone, but I am running low until November.
I think doing a potluck would be fun because we could do it on the last day and could leave the food in the cars and just make the short walk back to them on Saturday night. Then we don't have to lug heavy food a long distance.
But, it's up to everyone if they want to do one or not. It's still 2 1/2 weeks away and there is plenty of time to get it figured out if we do in fact want to do one.

Not sure how everyone is doing on gear.
But, just wanted to let anyone going know that I have an extra under quilt and tarp if anyone needs to use one for the trip. Temps are looking to be in the low 40's so far, but of course... that could change.

has anyone decided if we are going to dump most of the gear at the hang site first before the hike in or just hike with gear from the parking location?
I will have been on the road all week, so doing pot luck will be hard for me, but I volunteer to be the pie man. if we are going to dump some of our load before the hike, I could try and stop by Betty's Pie or some other wonderful pie location and buy pies... I assume that the defacto pie of this forum is strawberry rhubarb ( not my taste) but if there is some opinions I would be happy to oblige.

It looks like everyone that is going is also going to hike in. So, I don't think we'll be able to leave our gear at the campsite before we go. However, being that our last site is so close to the parking lot. I'm probably going to leave my last night's food and breakfast in the car so I don't have to carry it for 2 days. Then make the mile run to the car when we get to two island river.
As for the food, not sure what everyone wants to do about that. I am going to bring some for everyone anyways though. If you can, awesome. If not, no big deal. I know some people are coming from out of town and it would be difficult to contribute.
We're going to have a blast out there!
