Grand time...despite 30 mph winds and rain all-day Thursday...and bits of Friday.

Nice people, these HF folks!! I saw multiple videos being shot so there should be more "reporting" to come!

Well it was my first, and certainly not my last, trip to the SHT and Wow! What a great trail and a big special thanks to all the wonderful trail maintenance folks for all they do. It was a wonderful trip and I reeeally enjoyed meeting some of the great folks from HF. Yes the weather didn't exactly cooperate but it was an opportunity to test out some gear and high wind tarp rigging. Thank you to all the great folks who attended and made this trip a blast despite the weather. A special shout out to the Green red footed Fronkey for all the trip orgainizing and videos. The Geezer Gang was loads of laughs and learned lots of new stuff . Spending the weekend in beautiful country with a bunch of guys and dogs who eat, sleep, and talk hiking and gear it doesn't get any better. Special shoot out to Sparky the Hammock hanging dog

Hey guys, just got home and I sure did have a blast with all of you. From hiking in the rain to being woken up by a growling "bear" I am looking forward to seeing you guys on the trail again soon. I'll have part 1 of the vids up in the morning.

I'm editing part 1 now. I checked the weather for up there and it's supposed to snow tonight and tomorrow. We missed it by a couple days!

Oh no, the snow would have been great! It was already dang near cold enough.

Thanks Fronkey for putting this together. Both Sparky and I were stoked and had a totally rad...ical time But, seriously, I can't wait to get out there again. It as awesome to see old faces again and new at the same time. I remembered to stay away from the sleeping pills this time...

Excellent photos, Skygzr. Looks like a very nice crew--and contrary to what my wife supposed, there were women among the crew as well. Next year we'll join you.

By the way, did anyone lose a hiking pole? I found one and picked it up on the Hwy 1 SHT crossing parking lot.

Haywire is my trail name, but I can't change it. Ha.
