Can only second a lot of what's been said.
I've had a good ol' read of the posts and made my choice - remember there's as much help for you to set up / install as there is to help you decide in the first place... Plenty of wisdom about for knots, splicing and the like.
After only a few weeks of hanging I'm already modding equipment and DIY'ing some myself! A long LONG way from anything requiring any great skill but DIY none the less.
same boat my friend, new to hammocks and just got my hh backpacer today, glad you posted the question cuz I'm lookin for the same thing.
we can learn this stuff and share info if you like.
Thx guys, those videos were great...still not sure what route I'm going to go but at least I have an idea of the different options.
