Thanks for the replies gents. First of all, nobody is suggesting anyone do anything dangerous. In fact, I have attempred to discourage dangerous or illegal activity from the very first post.

It's just meant to be a fun challenge - with the emphasis on FUN!

When I mentioned extreme, I didn't even think of Jackass type behaviour.

To me, living in England, extreme would be hanging between two trees in the local park, just above and behind a park bench where the local office girls go to eat their lunchtime sandwiches. I'd set it up at about 11.45am, climb in and keep quiet. Then when a few girls were sitting there, with their back towards me, I'd pop my head over the side and ask them to keep quiet as I'm trying to sleep. Well, maybe it's not that extreme, but if I were naked, that would be extreme. Nah, too cold for naked. But you get my drift. Just park your hammock somewhere you would not expect to see a hammock hanging. The looks on their faces would be priceless.

That's not hanging, that's falling with style.
Dutch: Hammock is probably more weight but who wants to lay on the ground? I pee on the ground.

I hang here every day at lunch time. Even have a 12V fan to keep me cool!

Brilliant guys, we're off to a good start.

I'd like to sling my hammock between these two strong limbs

Brilliant hanging place, built in tarp and what a view!

Anybody in Chicago fancy giving it a go?

    It's just the beginning.

I went golfing today on this sunny Minnesota day and was telling my friends about this contest. So, we went inside the country club and decided to sneak in a hang.

Afterwards I jumped on into this train yard and jumped aboard my hammock in between to train cars.

More to come as I'm just getting started. This Minnesota transplant needs himself a toasty hat.
