Upon closer comparison when I returned home the niteize glocord is slightly larger diameter then what I purchased from diy supply again its dark green vs florescent orange and the reflecting thread is considerably larger at least 5x wider not sure of breaking strength both cords are solid core will play with it more to see abraision resistance ....again this is just an fyi if ur in a hurry or want something right now ....the diy cord is a great cord just highly visible during daylight as well the niteize not so much
