Just thought I would post some pictures of an outing that the Scouts and I went on over the weekend. What a great time and location. The only downfall were the bugs and heat. We survived though. So enjoy.

So many trees, so little time...
Great time I'm sure!
.... the Aardvark (earth pig)... a rather unremarkable creature whose sole claim to fame is that it is the first animal listed in the dictionary.

Looks great! I was a scout and learned alot about life!
One of these days I will get a chance to join in the "Scout Hanging" fun!!
You are all correct, it was a blast. We took this small hike that was about a mile up in the woods and about 800' elevation change. We did this because we had some weblos who just joined the troop and we wanted to get them out and enjoy the wilderness but also learn about backpacking. I can honestly report that all the kids did extremely well and enjoyed themselves a lot. Now in a couple of weeks we will be doing a two nighter at Mt. Greylock. I personally am looking forward to getting back out on the trail with these guys and see how they do.
