    Single tarp line

If you guys using Clarks are not using the single tarp line above the tarp you should be. It is MUCH easier to get the right hang and adjustment on the tarp and associated net. Just run a single line betwenn the two trees you are hanging from. Using a Prusic loops and s-biners connect the tarp and associated netting to the line above. The Prusics allow you to slide the tarp either way for correct adjustment.

I use paracord becasue it has give to keep from gettng too tight. I use a bowlin loop to connect the line to the tree on the foot end and a truckers hitch to pull it tight on the other. If you need to raise the tarp it is easy to slide either end or both ends up the tree.

One other addition I like, between the tie outs on ridgeline and s-biner, toss in a loop of shock cord, seems to help on holding tension.
.... the Aardvark (earth pig)... a rather unremarkable creature whose sole claim to fame is that it is the first animal listed in the dictionary.

Do you have any photos of this setup? I'd like to have a go using a single ridgeline with my clark as the standard setup doesnt have much 'flexibility' so to speak.

Not for me, it looks like more fiddlin' around and bits and pieces than what I already use, the stock clark tarp suspension... I just use a taut-line hitch on each end and can loosen or slacken the lines to move the tarp as I need it.

The only change that I will probably make is to switch the supplied cords, the very thin grey lines on all the tarp corners, with something a little bit thicker just to make handling and knot tying easier. That and another couple of small mods which are on the 'to do list'
