Michigan Hang 2011 Pre-Planning

Hello everyone, I am going to try and make this hang it sounds like fun. I need to work on my gear list, I do have two trips planned for oct and nov already but maybe I can squeeze one more in. I dont care about location as long as im out in the woods in my hammock. This is open to all yes? If not my bad!

N. Manitou Island

It worked so well for us last time...(ask Gargoyle, and SR1355)

We could always do the backup plan of camping out in the BP parking lot in Mesick and eating pizza...seemed to work well before!

I vote for the parking lot.

We may need reservations though, so they can have enough pizza and beer.

If needed, my cousin is fine with more folks coming over to the sauna camp....

Manitou is an obvious first choice for me.
Nordhouse would be great....
MRT is fine too.
I say we do each one, one for September, one in October with MRT as a backup. That may help with some folks calenders?

I'm game for the trifecta. I'd like to do manitou in September to still enjoy a little swimming. Mrt in October would be nice and nordhouse over Thanksgiving weekend would be fun or maybe in December

Pizza!!!!!!! Oh yeah, count me in. I'm all up for that parking lot.

On a serious note, I'm watching this thread but I can't commit to anything until I know that status of my pending trip to the Sierras. If that gets cancelled, like I expect, I’ll most likely be able to jump on this trip.

I'm going to go ahead and start a thread on the N. Manitou trip. The other suggestions are still open. Would like to do something on Thanksgiving weekend too.
