I'm not a climber but I appreciate science and innovation. That's pretty cool.

Very dig it. I'm breaking into climbing, and have been really impressed with the Black Diamond equipment... They seem to be doing some cool things.

I love innovation just as much because it drives everyone else forward as I do for the new product itself.

    Too sweet!

I don't need one, but I will buy one just to fondle.

An aside: If any of you are climbers who started back in the late 60s, you probably encountered Bonatti locking gate 'biners (D-shaped with red screw gates). Those buggers were frustrating! One time after a 150' rappel on Seneca Rocks I discovered that my body weight had slightly opened the gate and the collar had been inadvertently tightened. When I took my weight off the rope the 'biner locked so tightly that it was almost impossible to open.
On the other hand, when the Bonatti's were oriented in theopposite direction the darn gates would actually unscrew.

We've come a long way baby!

Very cool...I was big time into climbing in the 1990's and when the wire gate beaners came out it was HUGE...changed the way I climbed! I scraped and saved so I could get as many as possible ($20 each), I still have 2 I use for my daughters swing.
