You could do a double roll hem and just glue it . . .
. . . a little back woods maybe but contact cement would likely work . . .
Side note when I worked leather ie saddle bags, MC jackets etc.
I contact cemented all parts before sewing.
Worked just fine . . .

You COULD do a double rolled hem and sew it by hand. It'll go surprisingly fast. REALLY!
